Curriculum
Our 'Whitby Heath Way' curriculum takes our children on a creative journey of discovery. The curriculum is designed to enhance their knowledge, life-skills and understanding of the world. Through a text based approach we aim to empower children to be tolerant, kind and understanding towards others. We want our children to leave school with the confidence and passion to make a positive difference to the world. Each subject is mapped out in a specific way along our bespoke 'Whitby Heath Way'. This links directly to the National Curriculum objectives for every subject.
Our Whitby Heath Way curriculum ensures that all children are immersed in their learning. We believe that by immersing our children through a variety of high quality texts, they will develop the range of vocabulary they are confident to use, and develop a love of reading.
Our Curriculum reflects both the Equality Act (2010) and complies with the duties of the SENd Regulations (2014).
