When the Giants Stirred by Celia Godkin ![]() Our Summer 1 theme is:What impact do natural disasters have on our world?Useful information PE Our PE days are Mondays (swimming) and Tuesday (outdoors). Children will need to come to school in their PE days. Please ensure the correct kit is worn: Black pumps for indoor lessons Trainers for outdoor lessons A plain white T-shirt Plain black shorts A plain black, blue or grey tracksuit (including hoodies) Homework Homework is set weekly on Seesaw. Seesaw is a virutal classroomm, which can be used at home. It can be downloaded as an app on most devices or accessed through the internet. Teachers will be able to set and mark work, leave comments and make annoucements about school on here. All children will need permission to use the app. English homework will be set every Friday. Maths homework will be set on alternative weeks with Mathletics. Please see our newsletter for homework dates. Mathletics and Timestables Rockstars Once a fortnight, children will be set tasks on Mathletics, a online resources aimed to imorove Maths skills and knowledge. Mathletics can be downloaded as a app or accessed through the internet. Children can earn certificates and take part in competitions within and beyond school on Mathletics. Achievements on Mathletics will be celebrated in our Friday assembly. Reading Reading at home should be done as frequently as possible. Children should bring their readings books and record to school every day. Reading records will be checked on Friday. We aim to 'Strive for 5' by reading at least 5 times a week. Children who record their reading 5 times a week will be awarded with team points.
