Welcome to the dedicated pages of Whitby Heath’s Rights Respecting School (RRS) initiative.

RRSA stands for Rights Respecting Schools Award. The RRSA which was developed from the UN CRC, (United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child) seeks to ensure the Protection, Provision and Participation of all children.

We are currently have our Bronze award and are recognised as a rights committed  school. We are currently working towards becoming a Rights Respecting School- Silver Award. 

We visited the Houses of Parliament to find out more about democracy and how this links to our school values and Children's Rights.
